In the women's 55kg category, fighter Nguyễn Thị Diệu Ly also made her mark with a victory over Aprianti Ni Made Dwi (Indonesia) to reach the top of the podium. In the same women's division, Đinh Thị Hương (68kg) and Nguyễn Thị Ngoan (over 68kg) both won gold medals after defeating their Indonesian opponents.

In the women’s team kata, consisting of Ngọc Nhi, Thu Uyên, Ngọc Trâm, and Nguyễn Thị Phương, delivered an impressive performance to beat regional rivals and secure the championship. Meanwhile, in the women’s individual kata, Nguyễn Ngọc Trâm also claimed a convincing victory to bring home another gold medal.
The Vietnamese men’s team kata, featuring Việt Anh, Hồng Phúc, Minh Đức, and Quang Hào, continued to make fans proud by defeating the Indonesian team in the final match.
At the closing ceremony, the Southeast Asian Karate Federation officially handed over the hosting flag to Vietnam, confirming that Vietnam will host the 2026 Southeast Asian Karate Championship.
According to a representative of the Vietnamese national karate team’s coaching staff, beyond aiming for high achievements, this tournament was a valuable opportunity for athletes to gain international competition experience, as well as to analyze and evaluate regional rivals. The lessons and experience gained in Brunei will be an important foundation for Vietnam’s preparations toward the 33rd SEA Games, which will take place in December in Thailand.
