The seminar on Digital Transformation promotes the application of digital technology in the development of the Vietnamese Olympic Movement

On the afternoon of March 20, a seminar on digital transformation in the Vietnamese Olympic movement took place in Hanoi. Attending the seminar were the Director General of the Sports Ạuthority, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, Đặng Hà Việt.

The Digital Transformation Seminar in the Vietnamese Olympic Movement is an opportunity for 100 delegates, including leaders of national sports federations and associations, coaches, athletes, and sports managers, to share and discuss the construction, operation, and effective exploitation of the database system for all sports activities.

Digital transformation not only increases efficiency and improves competition results but also helps the Vietnamese Olympic movement develop sustainably. The seminar on Digital Transformation in the Vietnamese Olympic Movement is of great significance in raising awareness about digital transformation among organizations and individuals participating in the Olympic movement in Vietnam.

Speaking at the seminar, Director Đặng Hà Việt emphasized: digital transformation is an inevitable trend worldwide and is an important, urgent solution, serving as the foundation for building and implementing socio-economic development programs and plans for each country, locality, industry, and sector.

"The digital transformation seminar in the field of sports was held today to concretize the policies, goals, and tasks regarding digital transformation in accordance with the directives in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW; Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; Conclusion No. 70/KL-TW of the Politburo; the Strategy for the Development of Vietnam's Sports until 2030, with a vision to 2045; and the Conclusion of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyễn Văn Hùng, Chairman of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, at the 2024 summary conference and the implementation of key tasks of the Vietnam Olympic Committee in 2025," shared Director Đặng Hà Việt.

According to Director Đặng Hà Việt, the seminar is an opportunity to share and to discuss the construction, operation, and effective exploitation of the database system for all sports activities, as well as the establishment of technical systems and tools applying modern information technology in the sports field; deploying applications for big data analysis and exploitation, artificial intelligence (AI) technology applications, and virtual reality (VR) technology applications in athlete training, competition guidance, and sports event organization. Digital transformation is also an effective tool that helps sports managers reduce manual labor, increase accuracy, and save time; for coaches and athletes, it aids in analyzing their performance through measurement devices, sensors, and data analysis software, thereby minimizing the risk of injuries during training and competitions, as well as enhancing transparency and fairness in decision-making. Digital transformation will help bring sports activities closer to the community through mobile applications and smart technology devices. To ensure the digital transformation seminar in the Vietnamese Olympic movement achieves optimal effectiveness, Director Đặng Hà Việt hopes that experts and managers will actively share and discuss their experiences in applying information technology and digital transformation to the management of sports and the Vietnamese Olympic movement in the digital transformation era within their agencies and units, contributing to the development of Vietnamese sports in the near future.
