Further strengthen the media education efforts in anti-Doping in 2025

The Doping and Sports Medicine Center always closely follows the directives of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the leaders of the Sports Authority in implementing important tasks according to their functions, such as research, inspection, and prevention of doping in the field of sports; medical examination, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletes and those involved in sports activities related to the use of doping. Currently, the Center is operating based on two main tasks: Doping education and communication, and Sports Medicine, as well as the work of collecting samples for Doping testing.

According to the plan, in 2025, in the field of Media Education, the Center will coordinate the implementation of anti-Doping media education at 4 National Sports Training Centers: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho, and the Athlete Training Center under Bac Ninh Sports University; organize training on anti-Doping for sports management officials nationwide in Hue; organize nationwide training for collaborators on anti-Doping media education in Da Nang; train knowledge on anti-Doping for national sports federations; train knowledge on anti-Doping for Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism/Departments of Culture and Sports.

All staffs, officials, and workers at the Doping and Sports Medicine Center are united in effectively implementing the key tasks for 2025

Along with that, the Center will carry out direct anti-Doping communication work at 15 sports tournaments organized by various sports federations.  Developing software for "Doping Prevention Education in Sports."

Especially, recognizing the importance of raising awareness among athletes and coaches in doping prevention, the center staffs will educate athletes returning after punishment; guiding athletes and their supporters to participate in courses and take exams to obtain certificates on the ADEL system.

Organizing educational programs: "Fair play Sports" in schools; coordinate with Sports Universities: Bac Ninh, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City to incorporate anti-Doping content in sports into the curriculum.  Organize training courses for Doping Control Officers (DCO) in preparation for the 2026 National Sports Games (scheduled in the 3rd quarter in 2025); organize training courses and re-certification for Blood Collection Officers (BCO) (scheduled in the 2nd quarter in 2025).

The center will also continue to expand international cooperation in the field of education and communication on anti-Doping with countries such as China, Thailand, and Taiwan.  Participate in online or in-person conferences, seminars, and training sessions of WADA, SEARADO, or other anti-Doping organizations...

Regarding the doping test sample collection, the Center will organize out-of-competition doping tests for athletes, especially in the period leading up to major tournaments such as the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, the World Championships, and the World Junior Championships, as well as for athletes in the 2025 annual doping test sample collection group (RTP) (expected 55 urine samples and 9 ABP blood samples).

Organizing doping sample testing during competitions at the national championships in 2025. Organize and coordinate doping sample collection outside of competition, during competition as required by international federations and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). Sending officials to participate in sample collection at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.

During the meeting with the leaders of the Sports Ạuthority to celebrate the 70th  anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians' Day, Director of the Center for Doping and Sports Medicine, Lê Minh Hà, stated: In 2025, with many tasks ahead and despite facing numerous difficulties and challenges, the collective staffs, officials, and workers of the Center will be determined, united, and strive their utmost to complete the assigned tasks.

According to Director Lê Minh Hà: The main domestic task in 2025 is to organize two training courses on doping prevention and control for sports management officials in Hue and for the national network of collaborators on doping prevention and control education and communication in Da Nang. The center hopes to continue receiving support from the Sports Authority; to coordinate systematically with local units in the process of organizing these training courses.
