It is known that VFF is honored to be one of the 5 national football federations (along with Thailand, Taiwan (China), Uzbekistan and Lebanon) receiving great attention from the UEFA/AFC Women's Football Development Support Project.
This is an opportunity for Vietnamese football to approach and exchange with leading football experts; get closer to advanced football backgrounds in the world, thereby learning, exchanging professional experiences, implementing innovation and professionalization in areas related to football development. Especially women's football.
Ms. Lowri Robert - Representative of the Asian Football Confederation spoke at the Workshop
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of VFF: “In recent years, VFF has consistently maintained the view of mobilizing all resources for the development of Vietnamese football, in which women's football is an aspect that has received attention and investment with a long-term plan. This has brought certain success when the Vietnamese women's team won the right to participate in the 2023 Women's World Cup finals in New Zealand. This initial achievement contributes to affirming the name of Vietnamese women's football on the world football map”.
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tu, the successes that Women's Football has achieved in recent times have opened up many opportunities for the women's national team to the youth teams. The teams will be focused on and invested more strongly. However, to maintain and develop sustainably, Vietnamese Women's Football needs a long-term plan, precise orientation, combined with domestic and international resources.
