Vietnam wins two gold medals at the 2026 Asian Relay Championships

The Vietnamese athletics team completed its task, exceeding the target by winning 2 gold medals at the 2026 Asian Relay Championships.

In the women’s 4x400m relay, our team has 4 faces including Hoang Thi Minh Hanh, Quach Thi Lan, Nguyen Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Ngoc.

The Vietnamese women's 4x400m relay team finished first to win a gold medal with a time of 3 minutes 31 seconds 16.

In this event, the host team China won a silver medal with a time of 3 minutes 32 seconds 68, while the Kazakhstan team won a bronze medal with a result of 3 minutes 33 seconds 87.

In the 4x400m men's relay team, Ta Ngoc Tuong, Vu Ngoc Khanh, Tran Dinh Son and Le Ngoc Phuc focused on competing and finished first, winning a gold medal with a time of 3 minutes 02 seconds 60. The achievement of the Vietnamese men's 4x400m relay team has been recognized as a new national record for the event.

In China this time, the silver medal was won by the host team with a time of 3 minutes 03 seconds 23 and the bronze medal was won by the Sri Lanka relay team with a time 3 minutes 03 seconds 33.

Notably, husband-and-wife athletes Tran Dinh Son and Nguyen Thi Ngoc both played key roles in the success of the men’s and women’s relay teams.
