Vietnam wins three golds at the Asian Beach Games 2026

The Vietnamese sports delegation completed the events competing at the Games to rise to 4th place overall on the final day of competition., which officially concluded its competitions at noon on April 30 (local time) in China.

Vietnam won a total of 13 medals, including 3 golds, 5 silvers, and 5 bronzes. The three gold medals came from women’s beach handball (1) and beach athletics (2). The five silver medals were claimed in open water swimming (2), traditional boat racing (1), and beach wrestling (2), along with five bronze medals across various events.

At the 2026 Asian Beach Games, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation with 90 members (54 athletes) competed in 26 events of 8 official sports.

On the overall results table, the host delegation China holds the first position with 24 gold medals, 18 silver medals, 13 bronze medals. The second position is the Thai delegation with 10 gold medals, 9 silver medals, 9 bronze medals. The Iranian sports delegation is ranked 3rd with a result of 9 gold medals, 1 silver medal.

According to the Olympic Council of Asia, the next edition of the Asian Beach Games will be held in Cebu in March 2028, promising another exciting chapter for beach sports in the region.
