On the final day of competition before the closing ceremony on April 30, Vietnamese athletes maintained strong form and added crucial gold medals to the team’s tally. Nguyen Trong Lam was the standout performer with three golds, reaffirming his strength in his key events. Nguyen Le Chi contributed two gold medals, while Nguyen Khac Le Hoang and Nguyen Thi Minh Tam each claimed one gold medal, completing Vietnam’s remarkable gold-medal collection.

In the final medal standings, Hong Kong (China) topped the table with nine golds, seven silvers, and four bronzes, while China placed second with nine golds and one silver. Vietnam secured third place, finishing ahead of strong teams such as the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau (China), Canada, and Chinese Taipei.
This year’s tournament featured 46 events for men and women under the standardized Taijiquan routines, with 15 countries and regions earning medals. The 2026 edition marked the fifth time the World Taijiquan Championships have been organized, further solidifying its status as a premier global competition for Taijiquan specialists.
Vietnam was represented by athletes Nguyen Trong Lam, Hoang Duc Duy, Nguyen Le Chi, Nguyen Thanh Van, Pham Nguyen Hoai Nam, Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, Nguyen Khac Le Hoang, and Chu Tue Anh, all of whom left a strong professional mark on the international stage.
