The first stage featured a 106.5 km route around Thu Dau Mot (Ho Chi Minh City), marking the start of one of the most important international cycling events for Vietnamese women’s road cycling this year. Before the race began, the organizers held an opening ceremony attended by coaches and cyclists from 22 domestic and international teams.
The 2026 Biwase Tour of Vietnam is the first international competition of the year for Vietnam’s women’s road cycling team. Notably, this year’s race has been officially recognized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and included in its competition system, attracting strong teams from across the region.

In the opening stage, Indonesia’s Priatna Deli Ayustina claimed victory with a powerful sprint finish. Liau Elizabeth Le Min of Singapore finished second, while Nguyen Thi That (Loc Troi Group An Giang team) crossed the line in third place after a fierce sprint in the final meters. This result also marks Nguyen Thi That’s first official race result of the 2026 season.
After stage 1, Priatna Deli Ayustina holds the yellow jersey for the overall leader and also leads the points classification with the green jersey. The white jersey for the best young rider currently belongs to Tan Valencia of Singapore.
A total of 102 cyclists started the first stage, with only one rider, Vietnam’s Tran Huynh Anh Van, unable to finish the race.
Stage 2 will cover a distance of 150 km starting from Thu Dau Mot. During this stage, organizers will set up three sprint points for the green jersey competition at Chon Thanh Intersection, Nguyen Hue – Phan Boi Chau Intersection, and in front of the former Bau Bang District Administrative Center.
The 2026 Biwase Tour of Vietnam runs from March 4 to March 8 with a total of five stages, featuring strong riders from the region and promising exciting competition throughout the race.
