Le Chuc An reach the top 170 amateur female golfers in the world

The Women's Amateur World Golf Rankings have just announced new positions, with Le Chuc An of Vietnam climbing 19 places to rank 166th. This is also the best ranking ever achieved by a Vietnamese female golfer on the Amateur Golf Rankings.

Le Chuc An accumulated positive points after winning the Trang An International Junior Golf Tournament - AJGA International Pathway Series 2026 held in Ninh Binh . In this tournament, she won the women's category with a total score of -12. This is the first international tournament of the American Junior Golf Association to choose Vietnam as its host country.

Le Chuc An marked a significant milestone in her career by winning a bronze medal at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. For the first time, Vietnamese golf had a female athlete win a medal at the Southeast Asian Games. She also captured the women’s title at the 2025 National Golf Championship, further cementing her status as one of the country’s leading players.

Thanks to her outstanding achievements, Chúc An has officially qualified for the 2026 Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship (WAAP), scheduled to take place in New Zealand from February 12 to 15. She will be the only female representative from Vietnam at the tournament. Later this year, she is set to move to the United States to pursue her studies while training and competing, aiming to elevate her performance and reach new milestones on the international stage.

Also on the Women's Amateur World Golf Rankings, the Vietnamese athlete ranked immediately after Le Chuc An is Nguyen Viet Gia Han, at position 534.
