Vietnam's first gold medals came from the Athletics track. Young face Trieu Thi Binh brought joy to the Vietnamese Student Sports delegation right from the competition on the morning of November 23. In the women's 3,000m event, Trieu Thi Binh excellently finished first with a time of 10'13"22. Notably, this victory was not only the first gold medal but also helped this female athlete break the ASG Congress record in the 3,000m event.

Another athlete from Cao Bang - Ly Mui Sau, also left a strong impression when winning another valuable gold medal in the women's 1,500m event with a time of 4'54"62. With these two resounding victories, Athletics once again proved to be one of the traditional strengths, contributing greatly to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese Student Sports delegation at the Games.

Along with Athletics, Pencak Silat is a sport in which Vietnamese student athletes have achieved great success. This martial art contributed 3 gold medals to the delegation.

In the final match close to the closing day, athlete Nguyen Quang Thanh won convincingly against his opponent Maulana (Malaysia) in the men's under-71kg category, bringing home the 5th and final gold medal of the Vietnamese Student Sports Delegation at ASG 2025.

Previously, Pencak Silat recorded two more gold medals from the efforts of Huynh Anh Thuan and Le Trung Thanh. These gold medals not only honor the brave competitive spirit but also demonstrate the sustainable development of Vietnamese School Sports.
