Director of the Sports Authority of Viet Nam Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet chaired a working session to discuss the issue on November 17 in Ha Noi.
Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet asked all departments to comprehensively review the national teams' preparation for the regional Games. It was not only a regular professional activity but also a key step to ensure that the Vietnamese Sports Delegation would be ready for the highest achievement.

Director of the Sports Authority of Viet Nam Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet chairs the working session.
In his recent visits to national sport training centres the director always consistently emphasized that all preparations for the SEA Games must be implemented urgently, thoughtfully and carefully.
Every step must be carefully planned to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, assigning the right people to the right tasks and remaining focused on the overarching goal of serving national objectives.
This review must focus on teams’ accommodation, training and competition conditions in Thailand (expected from December 7); travel schedule, and airport pick-up and drop-off.
Along with that, departments and related units must supervise the actual situation of the training and competing equipment and gears, competition uniforms; nutrition, supplements and products to support physical recovery.
They must also ensure absolute safety and full compliance with all regulations for athletes before, during, and after the Games.
This thorough review was not only to complete the immediate SEA Games targets but also to contribute to building and nurturing the core force for long-term goals, especially the continental and world arenas.
Therefore, he said, throughout the preparation process, any difficulties must be reported promptly, with relevant departments proactively coordinating to resolve them, avoiding shortages or last-minute fixes as the competition approaches.
Alongside technical matters, SAV officials also emphasized the management and use of funding sources, including both the state budget and social contributions. These resources, they said, must be used publicly, transparently, and efficiently – key requirements in the state management of the sports sector.

An overview of the working session on SEA Games preparation.
Emphasizing resource preparation for the 33rd SEA Games, Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet stressed that all allocations must be used for the right purposes, avoiding waste or misuse.
He said that when mobilizing social resources, relevant departments must strictly follow regulations while ensuring every contribution supports better training and competition conditions for athletes.
The 33rd SEA Games is a major sporting event, where the Vietnamese Sports Delegation carries the expectations of millions of fans.
Besides the goal of achieving high results, this is also an opportunity for the country's sportspeople to affirm its bravery, solidarity, will to rise and the beautiful image of Vietnam in the international arena.
With that significance in mind, the SAV affirmed that SEA Games achievements must be tied to the long-term development strategy of Vietnamese sports.
Therefore, sports federations are required not only to pursue medal counts but also to enhance their competitiveness in Olympic disciplines – where the true strength of a developed sporting nation is measured.
