On the final day of competition, Vietnam’s young athletes wons five more gold medals, bringing the team’s overall results to 13 gold, 12 silver, and 6 bronze medals. This impressive performance secured second place overall for the Vietnamese team.

The last-day golds were won by: Chau Ngoc Quynh An in the women’s triple jump with a mark of 12.67m; Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh in the women’s 3,000m steeplechase with 11:15.74; Luong Xuan Son in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase with 9:45.78; Mai Ngoc Anh in the women’s high jump with 1.74m and the mixed 4x100m relay team (Thai An, Quang Giap, Pham Thi Quynh, Nguyen Thi Thu) clocking 45.01 seconds.
Notably, the gold medal in the women’s U18 high jump by Mai Ngoc Anh marked a significant technical milestone, as she set a new Southeast Asian youth record. The previous record of 1.73m had stood since 2012. After 13 years, Mai Ngoc Anh became the Vietnamese athlete to finally break this long-standing record.
On the overall medal table, host nation Indonesia ranked first with 14 golds, 15 silvers, and 16 bronzes. The Philippines finished third with 11 golds, 4 silvers, and 1 bronze. Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar followed in the next positions.
