The 2025 Women’s World Pétanque Championship, featuring the women’s triples and women’s precision shooting events, attracted participants from 45 countries and territories around the world.

The tournament featured two Vietnamese teams - Vietnam 1 and Vietnam 2 - in the women’s Triplette (three-player team) competition. After advancing through the early rounds, the two teams faced off in the quarter-finals, where Vietnam 2 defeated Vietnam 1 with a score of 13–3. In the semi-finals, Vietnam 2 continued their strong form, overcoming Belgium 13–10.
In the final match, Vietnam 2 overwhelmed Thailand, securing a decisive 13–1 victory to claim the world championship gold medal.
Earlier, in the women’s precision shooting event, athlete Thạch Thị Lan Anh was eliminated in the quarterfinals, losing 21–34 to Choochuay Kantaros from Thailand, who later went on to win the gold medal.
