The event, co-organized by the Japan Sports Agency and the Department of Sports and Physical Training of Vietnam, is an important step to strengthen the sports partnership between ASEAN member countries and Japan, which has been developed since the Japan Sports Expo in 2017.

Connecting Sports with Technology and Society
Sports Exchange 2025 is held within the framework of the 5th ASEAN + Japan Sports Ministers Meeting (5th AMMS + Japan), which will last from 13-17 October 2025 at Thang Long Ballroom 1, Melia Hotel, Hanoi. The theme of the event is “Sports - Technology - Solving Social Problems”.
This is not only an exhibition but also a comprehensive exchange program, displaying and providing practical experiences with advanced initiatives. The contents introduced are very diverse, including from traditional competitive sports such as swimming, football, athletics, badminton, volleyball... to modern technology application solutions. Notably, the exhibition will emphasize the use of AI to improve performance and disaster prevention initiatives through sports, contributing to ensuring community safety.

Vietnam and Japan: Bringing Innovation to Sports
The main objective of the event is to strengthen joint activities and develop bilateral relations through the sports industry. Both Japanese and ASEAN member countries' sports stakeholders are encouraged to participate to seek new partners and business opportunities.
The event is expected to bring together 11 leading companies and organizations from Vietnam and Japan operating in various fields of sports, including education, healthcare, nutrition, equipment, apparel, disaster management, digital transformation (DX), and organizational management.
Vietnamese and Japanese delegates will showcase their innovative products and services through various forms such as panel displays, desktop displays, or digital billboards.
Opportunities for cooperation and high-level meetings

The visit of AMMS+Japan leaders will take place from 11:30–12:30 on October 17. During this time, representatives of the Japan Sports Agency will directly introduce Japanese companies participating in the exhibition to ASEAN Ministers of Sports and other participants.
A Business Conference will also be held for government officials, companies, and organizations related to sports to seek business opportunities and update the latest information on the industry.
The ASEAN-Japan Sports Exchange 2025 promises to be an effective platform to promote innovation, connect new partners and open up sustainable development prospects for the sports industry between ASEAN and Japan, especially in the context of Vietnam playing the role of host country.
