Preparations are being carried out urgently and comprehensively by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Sports Authority, and relevant agencies to ensure the meetings are conducted in a solemn, safe, and effective manner, in accordance with diplomatic protocol, international practice, and the spirit of Vietnamese cultural identity and hospitality.

To date, most of the major preparations for AMMS-8 and its related meetings have been completed. The decision to establish the Organizing Committee and three specialized subcommittees has been issued along with detailed working regulations. Logistical work is being carried out urgently, the venue has been finalized, and the bidding process is also underway. The Vietnam Sports Authority is working with transportation providers to finalize the final plan. Along with this, the volunteer force, reception, and financial work are being arranged in a synchronized manner.
The Vietnam Sports Authority has closely coordinated with the ASEAN Secretariat to agree on the program content. Within the framework of the meetings, several notable activities are expected to take place, including: the signing of agreements on anti-doping and discussions on ASEAN cooperation projects with Japan and China. At the meetings, some member states will also report on the work they have implemented.
A wide range of important activities will take place within the framework of the meetings, including the signing of cooperation agreements on anti-doping, discussions on ASEAN’s sports cooperation with Japan and China across multiple areas, and presentations from member states on the outcomes of previously implemented cooperation programs.

Communication efforts are also being intensified. Two promotional videos for the conference are currently being produced and are expected to be completed by early October. The event identity has also been finalized for approval by the leadership of the Vietnam Sports Authority; developed a plan to organize an international press conference, expected to be held in early October, to spread the message about the Conference. The photo exhibition will coordinate with relevant units to implement it.
With the determined efforts of the subcommittees, the coordinated work of specialized agencies, and the high commitment of the the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Sports Authority, preparations for AMMS-8 and its related meetings are progressing according to plan. The event will serve as an opportunity for Vietnam to showcase its role as a friendly and responsible host, leaving a positive impression on international partners while further enhancing the standing of Vietnamese sports within the ASEAN Community.
