Vietnam win six golds at the 19th Southeast Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship

The Vietnamese athletes dominated the event, securing six gold, four silver and four bronze medals, placing them at the top of the medal table.

More than 100 athletes from eight countries competed in seven bodybuilding and nine physique events. Vietnamese competitors delivered standout performances across multiple weight divisions.

Gold medals went to Le Ngoc Thai (men’s 55kg), Le Hong Phong (60kg), Tran Van Khanh (70kg), Nguyen Minh My (80kg), Truong Hoang Long (over 85kg) and Chau Nguyen Kha (men’s athletic physique up to 1.60m). Vietnam also secured four silvers and four bronzes.

Host nation Thailand finished second overall with four golds, five silvers and two bronzes, while Laos surprised with a third-place finish (two golds, two silvers).

From August 22 to 24, more than 200 athletes from 27 countries will compete at the Asian Bodybuilding Championships, also held at the Alexander Hotel in Bangkok. The continental event features 24 physique categories and 17 bodybuilding disciplines, including youth, masters and mixed pairs.
