With timely adjustments and explosive fighting spirit, especially the stability and decisive points scored by the main striker Tran Thi Ngoc Yen, the women's team quickly regained control of the game. The girls of the Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team won convincingly in the second set with a score of 15-8 and continued to excel in the third set with a score of 15-7, to close the match with a score of 2-1. Earlier, on the same morning, fans also witnessed the men's team's performance in the final match against Japan. This was a match that was considered to be very difficult, the Vietnamese men's players could not continue to create surprises against opponents who were stronger in every aspect and lost with a score of 0-2 (7-15; 10-15). However, this is considered a historic silver medal showing the remarkable development of Vietnamese men's sepak takraw.
