Attending the event were Mr. Vu Xuan Thanh – Deputy Head of the Elite Sports Division, Vietnam Sports Authority; Mr. Le Minh Ha – Director of the National Anti-Doping Center; Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung – Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Boxing Federation, along with representatives of outstanding boxing coaches and athletes; and professional staff from many provinces and cities.
At the Ceremony, both sides agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation on the strict adherence to anti-doping regulations in sports activities and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Anti-Doping Code. Accordingly, the Vietnam Boxing Federation will widely implement educational, propaganda, and anti-doping monitoring activities within the national competition system, from the club level to the national team.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Ha emphasized: "Anti-doping work is highly demanded from grassroots levels, sports federations, associations, and education is more important than sample collection." Boxing is a high-intensity combat sport that requires great physical strength and endurance, making it prone to the use of banned substances. Proactively committing and raising awareness is a way to protect clean and sustainable sports, not just boxing but also other disciplines".
On behalf of the Vietnam Boxing Federation, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung stated that this signing demonstrates the Federation's strong commitment to improving sports ethics and preparing well for international tournaments where doping control is becoming increasingly strict. Through this activity, coaches and athletes from the Federation have an additional opportunity to raise awareness in anti-doping efforts. At the upcoming National Sports Games, boxing is a key sport in anti-doping efforts, and I hope that through this activity, Vietnamese boxing will have no athletes involved in doping. Mr. Vu Xuan Thanh, Deputy Head of the Elite Sports Division, Vietnam Sports Authority, highly appreciated the significance of the event, as it marks the first time VADA has directly signed with a sports federation for anti-doping efforts. This signing serves as a basis for boxing coaches and athletes to understand and not be complacent about doping. For effective anti-doping efforts, close coordination is needed between state management agencies, federations, and associations. This is necessary work and should be widely implemented.
This signing ceremony is an important milestone, marking the beginning of a series of concrete actions by the Boxing Federation to ensure fair competition among athletes, without the use of banned substances, and towards a healthy, fair, and internationally integrated sporting environment.
