Actively preparing for the 13th ASEAN Para Games

On the afternoon of July 14, the leaders of the Sports for All division and the Vietnam Paralympic Committee held a meeting to report on the progress of preparations for participating in the 13th ASEAN Para Games. Director of the Vietnam Sports Authority, Nguyễn Danh Hoàng Việt, chaired the meeting; Deputy Director Lê Thị Hoàng Yến also attended.

Within the framework of the meeting, the leaders of the Authority listened to reports on tasks related to the preparation for the Southeast Asian Para Games of Vietnam, including: the plan to form the delegation, the participating forces, the number of delegation officials, and the organization of training for athletes... Based on that, the Sports for All division and the Vietnam Paralympic Committee also shared and sought guidance from the leaders of the Vietnam Sports Authority in addressing some difficulties and challenges to ensure the best preparation for the delegation before departing for the Games.

According to the directive of Director Nguyễn Danh Hoàng Việt: The involved parties need to closely coordinate to clearly determine the number of athletes and the number of events to participate in. With the unique physical characteristics of disabled athletes differing from those of elite athletes, there needs to be close attention and assurance of health and safety factors for each athlete participating in the Congress.

The Director General stated: It is necessary to clearly identify which forces are the core competing for medal achievements; which are the young forces with a long-term training nature to become the next generation, so that there can be appropriate investment in training and specialized education for each stage...

After grasping the progress of work implementation up to this point, Director Nguyễn Danh Hoàng Việt assigned Deputy Director Lê Thị Hoàng Yến to continue working closely and specifically with the Sports for All division and the Vietnam Paralympic Committee to provide timely and accurate guidance, ensuring the best conditions for the Vietnamese Paralympic Team throughout the preparation process until they officially depart for the Games.
