Director Viet expressed his respect and deep gratitude to Ambassador Olivier Brochet and the French Embassy for their valuable support and tireless companionship to help Viet Nam develop the national sport.
He praised meaningful supportive activities that the Ambassador did for Viet Nam especially those before the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. His visits and encouragement to athletes at training centers across the country proved his care and dedication.
Director Viet hoped that Ambassador Brochet would continue to accompany Viet Nam for a long time to help the country reach new heights in sports. The support would actively contribute to effectively promoting the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
In his side, Ambassador Brochet appreciated remarkable results in the cooperation between the Embassy and the SAV in recent time. He affirmed that this positive development was strongly demonstrated through a series of diverse and rich activities implemented before, during and after the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games.
Notably, Ambassador Brochet mentioned especially a training program using My Coach Pro software for national team coaches – the using activity that received positive feedback.
To optimize the effectiveness of this app, the Vietnamese version will be officially launched in September.
The Ambassador hoped that the SAV would actively spread its practical benefits and quickly improve the achievements of Vietnamese athletes in the near future.
He also shared a good news that the cooperative efforts between the two sides created an important premise, attracting more funding to support activities to develop Vietnamese sport.
Ambassador Brochet once again affirmed that sport was always a key issue that France wanted to promote in bilateral relations.
With many similarities in culture and development aspirations, the two sides could absolutely work together to promote cooperation in the field of sport, bringing this relationship to a new height, worthy of the Viet Nam - France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
To implement this goal, the Ambassador hoped that both sides should carry out more activities in not only high performance sport but also sport for everyone.
Director Viet totally agreed with Ambassador Brochet and expected the French side would support Viet Nam to benefit from the international standard management and training system for elite athletes in France, especially in Viet Nam’s preparation phase for the 2026 Asian Games.
He also hoped that the cooperation between two side would not only cover activities mentioned in their Memorandum of Cooperation but also be expanded diversely to other issues including exchanging research delegations and supporting the training of experts and athletes in many different sports.
Director Viet completely agreed with Ambassador Olivier Brochet's proposal to advise the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the French Ministry of Sports, Youth and Community Life to consider signing an official cooperation agreement on physical training and sports.
It would particularly help the two sides’ cooperation programs be implemented specifically and effectively. And it would be considered a breakthrough step, creating a solid legal corridor and bringing the sport cooperation relationship between the two countries to a new level which would be more sustainable and effective in the future./.
