In the men's 56kg youth category, weightlifter Hung Van The won 3 golds in the clean & jerk (137kg), snatch (105kg), and total (242kg). His result in the clean & jerk was confirmed as a new Asian youth record.

Next, weightlifter K’Duong competed in the men's 60kg junior category and won 2 golds: one in the clean & jerk with 162kg, and one in the total with 282kg. His clean & jerk result of 162kg was recognized as a new Asian junior record. In addition, he earned a silver medal in the snatch with a lift of 120kg.
Also in the men's 60kg category, Duong Tuan Kiet competed and earned 1 gold medal in the snatch with 121kg, as well as 2 bronze medals in the clean & jerk (150kg) and total (271kg).
Meanwhile, female weightlifter Luong Thi Thanh Tuyen secured 3 golds in the women’s 53kg youth category: snatch (85kg), clean & jerk (98kg), and total (183kg). Her snatch result was recognized as a new age group record.
After two days of competition, the Vietnamese youth weightlifting team had won a total of 11 golds, 6 silvers, and 4 bronzes.
The 2025 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships are taking place from July 4 to 10, attracting over 300 athletes from 25 countries, including Vietnam, Uzbekistan, China, India, Thailand, and South Korea. Athletes are competing in Snatch, Clean & Jerk, and Total categories across age groups from 17 to 20 years old. This event offers young Asian athletes a chance to prove themselves on the international stage.
The Vietnamese team, coached by Luu Van Thang, includes the following athletes: Thuy Tram, Ha Thi Xien, A Tieu, Phuong Linh, Anh Nhu, Tran Thi Hien, Tuan Kiet, Dao Thi Yen, Duc Hoang, Van The, Thanh Tuyen, Thanh Duy, Ka Hoai, K’Duong, Tong Thi Ly, Hoang Sang, and Dang Khoa. Among them, the young athletes K’Duong and Van The stand out as some of Vietnam’s top talents.
