Among the gold medalists, athlete Hoàng Thị Mỹ Tâm claimed the gold medal in the women's individual kumite (sparring) 55kg category. At the final, Mỹ Tâm defeated Saadati Fateme from Iran with a score of 5-0 to secure the gold.

In addition to Mỹ Tâm’s individual gold, the Vietnamese team won the team gold medal in kata (Bùi Ngọc Nhi, Hoàng Thị Thu Uyên, Nguyễn Ngọc Trâm, and Nguyễn Thị Phương). In the final, the Vietnamese team defeated China with a total score of 42.10 from the judges, while the Chinese team scored 41.70.
This team kata gold medal is especially memorable for the Vietnamese karate team, as it marks their first return to gold in women's team kata after 10 years, with the previous gold in this category won back in 2015.
In addition to the two golds, Vietnam also earned a bronze medal in the women’s individual kata event, courtesy of Nguyễn Ngọc Trâm.
The Vietnamese team went on to claim their third gold medal in the women’s team kumite (sparring) event after defeating Kazakhstan 2-0 in the final.
