The duo Nguyễn Văn Tuấn Anh and Nguyễn Đức Việt delivered an impressive performance, defeating Malaysia’s Lai Yong Ren and Chan Yi Jack with a 3-1 score in the final of the U15 boys' doubles, thereby securing the gold medal.

On April 22, Vietnamese players also claimed two additional bronze medals by Đỗ Lê Vân Chi ( U15 girls' singles) and Nguyễn Văn Tuấn Anh ( U15 boys' singles). In the semifinals, Tuấn Anh lost 1-4 to Thailand’s Preechayan, while Vân Chi was defeated 0-4 by Thai player Vijitviriyagul.
Earlier, Vietnam had also secured three bronze medals: Đỗ Lê Vân Chi and Lê Hoàng Linh Đan in the U15 girls' doubles; Nguyễn Hạnh Ngân, Trần Diệu Linh, Lê Gia Hân, and Nguyễn Thị Huyền Trang in the U19 girls' team event; Nguyễn Đức Việt, Nguyễn Văn Tuấn Anh, Võ Phùng Bảo An, and Nông Đức Minh in the U15 boys' team event.
The 2025 Southeast Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship took place from April 17 to April 22 in Indonesia. Vietnam sent a team of 16 athletes to compete in events including boys' and girls' singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and team events.
