The preparation works for the conference, which is one of VOC’s key activities in 2025, were reported to the Sports Authority of Viet Nam’s (SAV) leaders on March 10.
Tran Van Manh, General Secretary of the Viet Nam Olympic Committee, said the event aimed to raise awareness of digital transformation for entities and individuals involved in the Olympic movement in Viet Nam.
It would help them clearly understand the role and importance of digital transformation in management, operation, training, organization, competition as well as synthesizing the database of the national Olympic movement.
General Secretary Tran Van Manh added that digital transformation not only increased work efficiency and improved competition results but also helped the movement develop sustainably.

The conference is expected to feature more than 100 delegates representing leaders of sport federations, associations, coaches, athletes, and managers.
This will be an opportunity for delegates to share their opinions and discuss the setup, operation, and effective exploitation of a database system for all sport activities.
Leading experts worked out the topics to be discussed at the conference, focusing on digital transformation, artificial intelligence applications, and training works in some sports and physical education for students.
General Secretary Tran Van Manh expected that delegates would actively exchange and share experiences, contributing to the overall success of the conference.
Director of the Viet Nam Sports Information and Communication Center Ly Duc Thuy also shared some opinions related to the conference.
Specifically, the center collected and translated documents related to the research and application of artificial intelligence in the field of sports, especially high-performance sports, to serve at the conference.
SAV Director Dang Ha Viet said: “The conference will be a meaningful event because digital transformation is an inevitable trend all over the world.
“It is an important and urgent solution, serving as a basis for building and implementing programs and plans for socio-economic development of each country and locality in every industry and field.”
He emphasized the application of artificial intelligence was necessary to some sports demanding high levels of concentration such as shooting and archery... or martial arts such as taekwondo.
He paid much attention to the importance of the topics at the conference. He asked the VOC to ensure all topics to be practical and closely following the current situation and needs of the national sports in order to receive effective opinions and contributions.
The director appreciated the VOC’s initiative in preparing for the conference. He requested the committee to coordinate with relevant units to promptly implement all work to ensure the timetable of the conference.
