The first event Anh Minh participated in 2025 was the Bonallack Trophy – a team tournament between the Asia-Pacific team and the European team.
At the tournament in Dubai (UAE), Anh Minh played a total of four matches (won two, drew one, and lost one), contributing 2.5 points to help the Asia-Pacific team defeat the European team for the third consecutive time to win the Bonallack Trophy.
Although individual achievements are not counted, golfers participating in this tournament still receive a certain number of points from WAGR. This victory helped Anh Minh climb five places to enter the world's top 50 for the first time. This is an important milestone in Anh Minh's career, demonstrating the talent and tireless efforts of Vietnam's number one amateur golfer on his journey to the top. Previously, the best position Anh Minh had ever reached was 51st place in the world.
In the 2024 season, Anh Minh participated in a total of 19 events and won six championships that were counted on WAGR, notably the Taiwan Amateur Championship, Vietnam Amateur Open, Malaysia Amateur Open, and the individual championship at the Asia-Pacific Golf Team Championship, a title that marked the first time Nguyen Anh Minh entered the world's top 60. With national amateur championships across Asia, it can be affirmed that the 18-year-old golfer is one of the most outstanding players on the continent at the moment.
Specifically, the victory in both the team and individual events at the Nomura Cup helped Anh Minh enter the world's top 60 for the first time. The golfer born in 2008 finished 2024 at world number 51 after winning the Malaysian Amateur Open.

Nguyen Anh Minh, born in 2007, started his golf career at a very young age. With strong passion and determination, he has participated in numerous tournaments both domestically and internationally. His tireless efforts have yielded many successes, from national tournaments to international competitions.
Over the years, Anh Minh has participated in many major tournaments, most impressively reaching the quarterfinals of the U.S. Junior Amateur, winning the Malaysian Amateur Open, and winning the Bonallack Trophy twice in a row with the Asia-Pacific team.
Being in the top 50 amateur golfers in the world marks a significant step forward in Nguyen Anh Minh's career. This achievement not only affirms his talent but also inspires many young golfers in Vietnam, encouraging young people to pursue their passions and strive for higher goals.
With this achievement, Nguyen Anh Minh is expected to continue to shine in the future. He can participate in many larger tournaments, even professional tournaments, opening up numerous opportunities to further his career. This event is not only a source of personal pride but also a turning point for Vietnamese Golf.
This year, Nguyen Anh Minh is expected to join Oregon State University (USA) in September 2025 on a full scholarship. Anh Minh will have the opportunity to represent the school's golf team in the NCAA Division I College Golf tournament system.
