On the first day of the competition, Le Nghia and Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai topped the podium of the mixed doubles event in trap shooting with 131 points. The host team, the Philippines, took second place, while Indonesia secured third.

Vietnam 2 duo of Nguyen Hoang Diep and Hoang Thi Tuat also had a noteworthy performance, scoring 125 points and finishing in fourth place overall.
The tournament is taking place from December 5 to 8 in the Philippines. This year, 150 coaches and athletes from seven Southeast Asian countries are participating in the competition.
Vietnam just compete in the trap and skeet shooting events.
