Vietnam secures first place at 15th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships

Vietnam won first place on the overall medal tally at the 15th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships, which took place in the Maldives from November 8-11.

The Vietnamese team has just successfully completed their mission at the 15th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships, achieving an impressive ten golds, five silvers, elven bronzes, securing the first place on the overall medal tally. India took second place, and Thailand finished third.

The tournament attracted three hundred eighty athletes from forty-one countries, competing in fifty-one events. Vietnamese bodybuilding and fitness team sent twenty athletes (eight femal and twelve male) to participate in the tournament and set a goal to achieve the highest results.

In the women's fitness at a height of 1.65 meters, female bodybuilder Tran Thi Cam Tu won a gold medal

Pham Van Phuoc successfully defended his championship title in the classic bodybuilding category for men under 1.6m.

Meanwhile, Tran Hoang Duy Thuan surprised many by winning a gold in the Athletic Physique category for male athletes under 1.67m and Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong won two golds in the Fitness and Sport Physique categories for women over 1.65m.

The remarkable performance of the Vietnamese team on the global stage is a source of great pride, showcasing the athletes' meticulous preparation and unwavering effort. This achievement also affirms that Vietnam's bodybuilding has firmly established its place in the international arena.
