The Vietnamese youth weightlifting team took part in the tournament with 15 weightlifters, competing in weight categories for youth and junior age groups. Among them were many athletes who had previously achieved results at international youth tournaments, such as Y Lien, Y Tho, A Tieu, Nguyen Thanh Duy, Hung Van The, Luong Thi Thanh Tuyen, Chao Mui Khe, Bui Minh Dao, Ka Hoai, Thach Hoang Sang, and Bui Thi Nhu Binh.

Prominent among the team's achievements were 5 gold medals. Hung Van The won a gold medal in the men's junior 55kg snatch event. Nguyen Thanh Duy won a gold medal in the men's youth 65kg clean and jerk. Notably, Thach Hoang Sang delivered an impressive performance, winning a full set of 3 gold medals in the snatch, clean and jerk, and total lift events in the men's junior 65kg category.
The four silver medals went to A Tieu in the men's junior 65kg snatch; Nguyen Thanh Duy in the men's youth 65kg total lift; and Tong Thi Ly, who won silver medals in both the snatch and total lift in the women's youth over-77kg category.
In the bronze medal events, Y Lien finished third in the youth 53kg clean and jerk; Y Tho won a bronze medal in the junior 57kg snatch. Hung Van The earned 2 more bronze medals in the clean and jerk and total lift in the junior 55kg category. Mau Thi Bay took 2 bronze medals in the clean and jerk and total lift in the junior 45kg category, while Nguyen Thanh Duy claimed a bronze medal in the youth 65kg snatch.
In the final standings, the Vietnamese youth weightlifting team ranked 6th in the junior division with 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 5 bronze medals; and ranked 5th in the youth division with 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals.
The achievements at the tournament show that Vietnam's youth weightlifting ranks possess highly potential athletes. Among these, the outstanding performance of Thach Hoang Sang with 3 gold medals in the junior 65kg weight category was a notable highlight, while also raising further expectations for the development of the next-generation athletes in the coming time.
Participating and achieving results at a continental-level championship also provides young Vietnamese weightlifters with further opportunities to compete and test themselves against strong opponents, thereby accumulating experience, perfecting technique, and preparing for higher-level arenas in the future.
