In the women’s 10m air pistol event, she is currently ranked 28th in the world with 1,014 ranking points, following her campaign at the 2026 Asian Rifle and Pistol Championships in India just before the Lunar New Year. Although she did not secure an individual medal in this event, Trinh Thu Vinh remains one of Vietnam’s key hopes in shooting.

Topping the women’s 10m air pistol world rankings is China’s Yao Qianxun, while India’s Singh Esha—who defeated Trinh Thu Vinh to claim individual gold at the 2026 Asian Championships—currently sits ninth in the world. In the same event, young Vietnamese shooter Nguyen Thuy Trang is ranked 101st globally.
In the women’s 25m pistol event, Trinh Thu Vinh is ranked 19th in the world. The top position in this category belongs to South Korea’s Yang Jiin. At the recent Asian Championships, Trinh Thu Vinh did not win an individual medal in the 25m pistol event, while Nguyen Thuy Trang delivered an impressive performance to capture individual gold and climb to 89th in the world rankings. The runner-up in that final, India’s Bhaker Manu, is currently ranked sixth worldwide.
